How to organize your adult video collection (without losing a favorite again)

A practical guide to organizing your adult video collection with tags, collections and search, so you stop depending on your browser bookmarks.

If you save videos in your browser favorites, in loose notes or in tabs you never close, you already know how it ends: the next time you want that one specific video, it's nowhere to be found. Bookmarks don't understand performers, categories or moods. Here's a simple method to organize your collection once and never lose anything again.

Why bookmarks aren't enough

A bookmark saves a URL and little else. It has no preview, it doesn't know who's in it, and when the site changes the title or takes the video down, your link silently breaks. On top of that they mix in with the rest of your bookmarks, so anyone who opens your browser sees them.

A dedicated library solves all three: it stores rich metadata, keeps it private and lets you search the way you think, not the way the browser sorted it.

An organizing system that works

  • Tag why you liked it: use short, consistent tags (by performer, category or situation) instead of rigid folders. The same video can carry several tags.
  • Collections by intent: group what you watch together (one list to wind down, another to discover something new) into named collections.
  • Performers as an axis: if you follow specific performers, let the system detect them at save time and filter by them later.
  • Less is more: don't create twenty tags on day one. Start with five and add as the collection grows.

Automate the saving

The most tedious part (copying the title, hunting down the preview, noting who's in it) can be automated. With automatic extraction you paste the link and PornLibrary fills in the title, preview, tags and performers for you. With the Chrome extension you do it in one click from the site itself.

Keep it tidy over time

Spend two minutes tagging each video well as you save it: it's far cheaper than reorganizing hundreds later. And review your collections and tags every so often to merge duplicate tags. With that minimal discipline, finding any video is a matter of seconds again.
